Our registered technicians perform a wide variety of important tasks. They draw blood, place catheters, take x-rays, and monitor anesthetized patients among many other responsibilities. All have gone to school and passed state and national exams to become registered technicians. Above all, they offer lots of tender loving care and attention to our patients.

Graham, R.V.T.

Graham started working at Charlotte Street as an assistant in August of 2015, realizing his path to work with animals was not so intentional. Immediately he knew this was where he was meant to be, and within a year or so had enrolled at AB-Tech Community College to further pursue his career and officially become a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT).  He graduated in August of 2019 and started as an RVT with his first day being November 12th of 2019. He has a 4 year old pointer/staffordshire terrier mix named Kilo and he’s all kisses (pictured here). Graham says he is proud to be a part of such a great team of people sharing a common goal, with such caring clientele and all the furry friends he’s made and will make in the future!

Jen, R.V.T., Inventory Manager

Jen graduated from Indiana State University in 1992 with her B.S. in Business Management. After realizing that her heart was not in that field, she returned to school and received her degree in Veterinary Technology from Purdue University in 1994. She had been working as a Registered Veterinary Technician since graduating when she decided to move to Western North Carolina with her husband in 2005, which is when she joined the team at CSAH. She continues to find fulfillment working with animals and has become a member of the NCVRC (North Carolina Veterinary Response Corp).

In her free time, she loves spending time with her husband and animals and walking her 4 wonderful dogs, Brutus, Izzy, Bud, and Kali. She also enjoys photography, boating, and ATV riding. She is affectionately known at CSAH as "Super Tech."

Leah, R.V.T.

An Asheville native, Leah is proud to call the Blue Ridge Mountains her life-long home.  She is a 2012 graduate of AB Tech's Veterinary Medical Technology Program.  After completing a program in high school to earn her CNA and exploring the human side of medicine, she quickly realized her true passion was elsewhere.   She entered the field of veterinary medicine to help all animals, create a voice for the creatures who cannot speak for themselves, and share with their humans the importance of veterinary care. The doctors and staff of CSAH were delighted for Leah to continue working at CSAH, having appreciated her bright, caring personality and excellent skills during her summer internship at our hospital. Outside of work she loves spending time with her friends and family, embarking on adventures of many kinds and enjoying life.  Leah shares her home and her heart with her 2 cats: Lilith, and Mr. Meeks; and her handsome Boerboel's, Bane and Belle.

Casey, R.V.T.

Casey was raised in Pittsboro, North Carolina, and in 2006 came to Asheville to study Spanish at UNCA. Her hobbies include running, hiking with her dogs, cheering on the Panthers and Tarheels, crafting, and travelling.  Casey currently lives in East Asheville with her husband and two dogs: Pepper, a Shih-Tzu mix, and Jackson, a lab mix.
