Dr. Amber attended the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine (Virginia Tech) and has been at Charlotte Street Animal Hospital since 2010.
As a member of the Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) and previously being the proud owner of strong-willed (Moxy) and semi-feral (Lily) felines, Dr. Amber promotes the low-stress handling techniques implemented in our hospital and helped Charlotte Street Animal Hospital become a certified Feline Friendly Practice through the AAFP. She studied at the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) in Florida and is proud to offer her services as a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist (CVA).
In her free time, Dr. Amber enjoys exploring and experiencing beautiful Asheville with her husband, son, and "furkids"; currently including a geriatric lab mix, a previously abused rescued pit-plot, a behavioral case shepherd mix, a one-eyed tabby cat, a polydactyl tabby cat with food allergies, and a brain-damaged orange tabby cat (who comes to work with her daily in a cat-backpack).
