While we emphasize prevention, we offer complete medical services for the sick pet. We understand that every patient has his or her own unique needs. We are constantly learning new methods of healing and are always open to new ideas and procedures.

BIRDS, RABBITS AND SMALL MAMMALS

Veterinary medicine for exotic pets is growing as the popularity of these animals increase. With better public education in health, nutritional and environmental management, all species have a greater chance for living longer and healthier lives. We employ staff veterinarians who possess experience in the care and treatments of exotics.

BLOOD TRANSFUSION

We are able to perform blood and/or plasma transfusions for canine and feline patients in emergency situations. The blood is from donor pets that live with their owners, and all blood is carefully screened for disease.

BOARDING - FELINE

Pets are like our children – we feed, nurture and lavish attention on them. Our highly qualified kennel attendants do the same when you can't be there.

DENTAL CARE

Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet's teeth. We use modern and safe ultrasonic tools to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gum line. Dental technicians polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup. Our state of the art dental digital x-ray machine enables us to visualize hidden infection or bone loss. When needed, we can also perform root canals on our patients to help maintain their dental integrity.

EMERGENCY AND CRITICAL CARE

In any emergency, seconds count. Our experienced staff is backed up by our mobile resuscitation unit, stocked and equipped to administer the ABCs of basic life support – Airway, Breathing, Circulation/Cardiac compressions. Emergency care is offered during regular business hours. In addition, we use the services of a local, fully staffed emergency center.

ENDOSCOPY

High-tech fiber optics permits direct visual examination and biopsies of your pet’s gastrointestinal system. This allows for more accurate diagnosis and treatment of oral, esophageal, stomach, colon and even upper intestinal tract disease. In some cases foreign objects may also be removed without the need for surgery.

Whether your pet is ill, injured, recovering from surgery, or faced with chronic pain from joint problems, we will work with you to create a pain management plan that will help improve your pet’s mobility and happiness.

RADIOLOGY

Radiographs – or x-rays – help our veterinarians evaluate muscular-skeletal, cardiovascular/cardiopulmonary, gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary systems. Our digital x-ray machines enable us to quickly provide important information that will help us diagnose your pet.  We also have dental x-ray capabilities which we use to determine oral health below the gum line.

Surgical services and facilities include: board certified surgeon available for consultation; preanesthetic blood work profiles; fully trained veterinary and technical staff to ensure the safest, most efficient, state-of-the-art procedures for your pet; heated surgery tables for greater comfort; advanced sterilization techniques; ECG and oxygen saturation monitors; intensive post-surgical care.

Pet Acupuncture 101

Acupuncture for humans has been rapidly increasing in popularity over the last few decades, so it only follows that concerned pet owners are exploring acupuncture as a treatment option for their furry friends.  Acupuncture can be performed on your pet for the same reasons people seek this therapy.  Acupuncture is just one aspect of eastern medicine.  As in western medicine, acupuncture and Chinese medicine is heteropathic medicine meaning you treat with the opposite.  ...read more HERE
